1. High temperature resistance:

At present, fluororubber has excellent high temperature resistance. Fluororubber can work for a long time at 200-250 degrees Celsius and for a short time at 300 degrees Celsius. The heat resistance of F246 is slightly better than that of F26. The tensile strength and hardness of fluororubber decrease significantly with increasing temperature. The change characteristics of tensile strength and hardness are that below 150 degrees Celsius, they decrease rapidly with increasing temperature; between 150-260 degrees Celsius, the decreasing trend is slow with increasing temperature.

2. Resistance to hot water and superheated steam:

The stability of rubber to hot water depends not only on the main material, but also on the compounding technology of the rubber. For fluororubber, fluororubber vulcanized with peroxide is worse than rubber with amine and phenol vulcanization system. It should be said that the resistance of fluororubber to hot water and superheated steam is general. It is not as good as EPDM. After soaking in superheated water at 180 degrees Celsius * 24h, the volume change does not exceed 10%, and the physical properties do not change much.

3. Corrosion resistance:

Fluororubber has excellent corrosion resistance. It has excellent stability to organic liquids, different fuel oils and lubricants, and has good corrosion resistance to most inorganic acids, hydrocarbons, benzene and toluene. It is only not resistant to low molecular esters, ethers, ketones and some amine compounds.
